Paid work is scoped in writing before build starts. The scope should describe the workflow, deliverables, assumptions, timeline, exclusions, and handoff expectations.

Project access, data, approvals, and third-party tool limits can affect timelines. If a simpler process change or off-the-shelf automation is enough, bzOS may recommend that instead of custom software.
